As I said in a previous article, there are things in this world that seem incredible, some are really pure fiction, others are deceptive and of course some are science fiction, but inclining the balance more toward science. I imagined an electronic circuit which would allow us a „permanent” functioning of a white light emitting LED (4).

How does this device work?

The basic idea is to extend the service life of the entire electronic system. The supercapacitor (3) or rechargeable battery is pre-charged (eventually manually with the help of a dynamo for example) and inserted into the circuit. Ignore the diode (6) because there is no point in explaining what it does, since it does exactly what it needs to do. The LED (5) illuminates both the photovoltaic cell (2) and the phosphorescent plate (1), the light is absorbed by the photovoltaic cell (2) both from the LED (5) and from the phosphorescent plate (1), which re-emits the absorbed light. The photovoltaic cell (2) then re-charges the battery or supercapacitor (3).
I am thinking replacing the LED (5) with a red light emitting one, since red light has a higher energy. There could be a few explanations on how this could work:
1. Using a red LED (5), this could mean a higher energy light, just enough to recharge the supercapacitor (3)
2. The emitted light from the phosphorescent plate (1), has a lower energy, meaning the light will be entirely absorbed by the photovoltaic cell (2) (it won’t be reflected)
3. Another approach would be: a red phosphorescent plate (1) and a white LED (5); this way the photovoltaic cell (2) will absorb the bright white light and the higher energy red light from the phosphorescent plate (1)

Remember that this device is a simple exercise of imagination and I can not guarantee, if it works in reality or not.
